🍴 Folonomo 🍴

Folonomo // Folove nomoney

If you know me, you'll know that I never stop eating. I started this blog wanting it to be about a little bit of everything. I now realise 'everything' for me mostly revolves around food so don't be surprised if this appears to be more of a food blog down the track. I mean hey, a girl's gotta eat!

So I recently caught up with a few friends for Friday night dinner and drinks in Surry Hills. After having a quick beverage at The Beresford Hotel, we headed down the road to a small, industrial-style, restaurant - Folonomo.

Although it may seem like your standard small, dimly lit, Surry Hills restaurant; Folonomo works a little differently. 100% of their profits actually go to charity! Here's how it works - with the money they make, they pay the bills, rent and buy the produce and pay the staff. Everything that's left then gets split with 50% going to causes nominated by the Pure Foundation, and the remaining 50% going to customer nominated causes.

I really love the idea of this because I think it's such a good way to promote goodness in the world. Who doesn't love wining and dining? This way, you get to help the less fortunate while you do! The other thing I love about this, is that it has really good quality (and tasting) food, and isn't just some random corner shop. They also chop and change their menu to spice things up every so often.

So I ordered the Angus Beef Rump, which was cooked to somewhere between a medium-rare to a medium. Just the way I like my steak! And my friends ordered the turmeric chicken and barramundi fillet; all to have with a glass of rosé on the side :)

They also actually have a coffee/breakfast place next door with the same philosophy which I'm definitely keen to try out. Another meal, another blog post? hehe

So here's the final verdict:
Price: $$
Would I go back? Yep, I most definitely would

That's all for now, thanks for reading!

Have a good week ahead :))
